Event Description

Telehealth has emerged as one of the fastest growing areas in modern medicine. The Centre for Online Health (University of Queensland) has had a leading role in establishing and coordinating an internationally recognised event for everybody interested in telemedicine, telehealth and e-Health. The SFT conference series provides a unique forum which explores both successes and failures in telehealth.

A series of workshops will be held for SFT-09 delegates in addition to the platform and poster presentations

The Annual International Successes and Failures in Telehealth (SFT) Conference will be held in the Education Centre, Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital, Brisbane, Australia on 10-11 November 2009.

The SFT conference provides a unique forum which explores both successes and failures in telehealth. Its uniqueness as the only telehealth conference in the southern hemisphere attracts prominent national and international speakers and delegates.

It provides an excellent programme for others to learn from experts in the field. The scientific programme will be informative and interactive and will be accompanied by a trade exhibition featuring the latest products and technology available in telehealth and e-health. The peer-reviewed conference proceedings are published annually as a special supplement to the Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare.

Our aim is to provide the opportunity for delegates to present the latest research and discuss the pros and cons of telemedicine, telehealth and e-health to foster the education in and promotion of better health care and services worldwide.
